What will you do as Global Sector Manager Metalworking?
Strategy & Execution
- Build and roll out a global commercial strategy for Metalworking Fluids (MWF) that drives sustainable growth.
- Define target segments, develop compelling value propositions, and align product portfolio and OEM relationships to support our ambitions.
- Translate strategy into action through clear go-to-market plans for both direct sales and distribution channels.
Distributor Enablement & Development
- Guide distributors to elevate their market approach and represent Q8Oils in a differentiated and profitable way.
- Structure and strengthen sales processes to accelerate growth and maximize long-term value creation.
- Set up joint business plans and support their execution through performance reviews, product mix analysis, and commercial campaigns.
Innovation in Services & Solutions
- Expand Q8Oils' offering beyond products: develop service concepts, fluid management strategies, and total cost of ownership (TCO) solutions that build customer loyalty.
- Stay ahead of industry benchmarks and customer expectations to position Q8Oils as partner of choice.
Operational Excellence & Cash Optimization
- Develop strong working knowledge of financial levers (e.g. cash conversion, payment flows) and proactively collaborate with order management and credit control to strengthen our financial performance.
- Ensure commercial processes are aligned, auditable, and future-proof—balancing agility with compliance.
Leadership & Business Development
- Lead and coach a team of 8 commercial professionals across multiple markets & geographies.
- Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and performance.
- Leverage new digital tools to improve distributor collaboration, sales capability and commercial impact.
What defines you
- A Master’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Business or a related technical/management field.
- At least 10 years of experience in B2B commercial roles, including 5+ years in international (distributor) sales.
- Strong strategic thinking combined with a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset.
- Experienced in building partner ecosystems and complex value propositions.
- A natural people manager and coach with excellent communication and stakeholder skills.
- Fluency in English (other languages such as German, Dutch, French or Italian are a plus).
- Comfortable with analytics, business planning tools, and CRM systems.
- Willing to travel internationally (±40%) to build partnerships and support local growth.
