Job Title: Desktop Support Technician Level 2
Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and resourceful Desktop Support Technician Level 2 to join our IT team. In this role, you will provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for end-users, assist in maintaining IT infrastructure, and play a key role in implementing solutions to complex technical issues. Your ability to communicate effectively and resolve problems efficiently will be critical in ensuring seamless IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve advanced technical issues with hardware, software, and network systems.
- Manage and resolve escalated support tickets from Level 1 technicians.
- Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals.
- Support operating systems, enterprise applications, and tools, including system updates and patches.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to identify and resolve recurring issues, and provide long-term solutions.
- Perform advanced user account management, including Active Directory, email systems, and permissions.
- Assist with the rollout of IT projects, such as system migrations, hardware upgrades, or new software installations.
- Document troubleshooting procedures, create knowledge base articles, and mentor Level 1 technicians.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of IT assets and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Conduct periodic system audits and provide recommendations for system improvements.
- Ensure prompt and professional communication with end-users to maintain high customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in desktop or technical support roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems and common enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate) are highly desirable.
Requirements:
· English and local language are mandatory.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry equipment (e.g., PCs, monitors) weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Comfort working in various environments, including on-site support when required.
Work Hours:
- Full-time.
- Occasional after-hours or on-call support may be required.
