Are you passionate about bridging the gap between legal business needs and innovative technology solutions? At Stibbe, we are looking for a Legal Tech Applications Officer to strengthen our IT team and support the continuous development of our digital environment.
As a Legal Tech Applications Officer, you will play a vital role in managing and developing key Legal Tech applications, ensuring they support the firm’s evolving needs. You will join a dynamic and collaborative IT team of around 10 colleagues, including our Head of IT, IT Operations, Service Desk, and Security, and work in a modern, forward-looking IT landscape.
This position covers a broad scope of responsibilities, including:
- Taking ownership of our Legal Tech applications such as Financial tools, Document Management System, Reporting platforms, and .NET applications..
- Working with internal stakeholders to analyse business needs and objectives, and translate them into functional and technical requirements. This involves close collaboration with business stakeholders to design robust and scalable solutions.
- Participating in the selection, implementation and evolution of appropriate technologies, platforms, and applications, in close coordination with the Senior IT Solutions Architect, IT operations, testers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensuring the security, compliance, scalability, and maintainability of the application landscape
- Providing 2nd and 3rd line support, acting as a key of contact for application-related queries within the IT team and ensuring high-quality service .
The ideal candidate
We are looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong eagerness to learn and engage with legal technologies and business processes
- Experience or interest in managing applications within a law firm setting
- A solid understanding of IT solutions within a Microsoft Azure environment. In-depth knowledge of the modern Microsoft ecosystem, particularly Microsoft 365.
- Fluency in Dutch and French, with a very good command of English (written and spoken).
- The ambition and potential to grow into a senior application architecture role.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
