Hiring an ICT expert network Cisco ACI (ML) for the Exploitation department of the Agency
Context
The task of the Cisco ACI network expert is to set up and maintain a number of systems used by the Agency
This includes daily management of existing systems (follow-up of backup and monitoring, solving incidents, etc.) but also design and implementation of major changes, new systems or removal of old systems.
The focus for this function is strongly on the further expansion of the Cisco ACI data center network of LV. Examples of tasks are planning, implementing and following up on all ACI and NX-OS changes
required to facilitate a data center move, refining ACI security to further evolve from a "network centric" to an "application centric" configuration, or drawing up and testing disaster recovery scenarios.
Knowledge and experience with ACI data center equipment is therefore absolutely necessary for this function.
In addition to the ACI data center equipment, the ICT network expert will mainly work with Nexus switches, Palo Alto firewalls and F5 big-ip application delivery controllers.
The ICT expert will work within the LUNS IT operations team. This is a team that is responsible for managing all Linux systems, all network equipment and all storage equipment of LV. Knowledge and experience with network management is by far the most important for this position, but knowledge, experience or interest in Linux system
and storage management is also considered a plus.
The proposed candidate must at least meet the following competencies, listed in order of importance. This must be evident from the candidate's CV. Candidates who do not meet these minimum requirements will not be included in the further selection procedure.
Technical competencies:
- Demonstrable knowledge and at least 3 years of practical experience with Cisco datacenter ACI equipment: setup, maintenance, configuration, development of application policies, integration with firewalls and application delivery controllers, ... - must have
- Demonstrable knowledge and at least 5 years of practical experience with Cisco Catalyst switches (IOS) and Cisco Nexus switches (NX-OS), regarding routing, switching, security, - must have
- Demonstrable experience with Logging, follow-up and handling of support cases with manufacturers or maintenance suppliers - must have
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience with the F5 big-ip load balancer / application delivery controller and its various modules - should have
- Demonstrable experience with Palo-Alto firewalls and associated concepts - should have
- Demonstrable experience with Linux system management, scripting (bash, perl, python), server applications (apache, jboss, wildfly, oracle db, postgresql) is a plus - should have
- Demonstrable experience with storage system management (netapp FAS, HPE Alletra, HPE storeonce, FC san equipment) is a plus - should have
