Job Description
As an HR Administrative Officer / HR Support Officer, you will play a central role in ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes at the Tessenderlo Group HQ. You will provide reliable administrative support to the HR Manager, coordinate employee lifecycle activities, and manage HR systems and data with accuracy and efficiency. This role is ideal for someone with a strong administrative background who enjoys working with people, systems, and structured processes – and has prior experience in or is eager to grow in an HR role.
Key Responsibilities & Outputs:
HR Administration & Coordination
- Ensure timely and accurate onboarding and offboarding of employees, including coordination with ICT and HR Services, exit interviews...
- Maintain and update employee records, HR databases, and reporting dashboards
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from employees and managers
- Support recruitment activities by assisting with CV screenings and applicant follow-up (particularly for white-collar positions, students, and interns) — in close collaboration with hiring managers and/or recruiters.
- Prepare and distribute HR internal communications, presentations, and training logistics
Systems & Data Management
- Administer HR tools (e.g., Cornerstone, Attentia), ensuring data accuracy and timely updates
- Generate reports and track training assignments, performance cycles, and other HR metrics
- Demonstrate ease with digital tools and a proactive approach to learning new systems
- Maintain calendars, meetings, and HR documentation
Projects & Employee Events
- Planning and execute HR events, workshops, and internal campaigns
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support cross-functional HR projects.
Qualifications
- Solid experience in administrative roles (e.g., office management, team assistant, executive support).
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or prior experience in HR is a plus
- Eager to learn and grow as an HR professional
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working with data and digital tools; quick to learn new systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Fluent in Dutch, French, and English
- Service-oriented, discreet, and proactive in supporting both people and processes.
