Your Role and Responsibilities
As Teamleader Product Development, you are responsible for the daily coordination, coaching, and development of a team of approximately 4-5 professionals focused on agricultural spare parts, with a strong emphasis on components for soil-working machinery. You play a key role in ensuring operational excellence while actively contributing to the commercial and strategic growth of the product categories.
You will be based in Hermalle, working closely with the Director Procurement & Sourcing and collaborating with key stakeholders such as the Category Manager, Data Team, Sales & Marketing, and external suppliers to drive performance and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Organize and supervise the team’s daily activities to ensure delivery of both quality and quantity targets.
Provide coaching, support, and performance feedback to foster a collaborative, engaged, and high-performing team.
Build and maintain strong internal cooperation with stakeholders (sales, marketing, pricing, data team) to drive category growth.
Stay up to date with developments in the agricultural machinery sector, especially in soil-working machines and related components.
Use market and product knowledge to support sourcing and pricing decisions.
Encourage the use of data and Excel-based tools within the team, supporting knowledge development outside of standard ERP systems.
Maintain basic supplier engagement where needed, while supporting stronger supplier relationships through added team capacity.
Work closely with the Category Manager to drive product visibility and success in marketing and sales initiatives.
Contribute to improving profitability and long-term positioning of the product categories.
Your Profile
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years of experience in a purchasing, sourcing, or product development role.
Prior experience in a leadership or team coordination role is a strong plus.
Strong affinity or background in agricultural machinery, particularly in components for soil-working equipment.
Analytical and data-driven mindset; strong proficiency in Excel.
Decisive, service-oriented, and commercially minded.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluent in French; English is required. Dutch, Spanish, or German are additional assets.
Based in or willing to be present daily in Hermalle.
