As a Tax Manager, your main responsibilities include:
- Managing the tax obligations of projects carried out within a specific region for which you share responsibility.
- Calculating the tax impact for project tenders and advising on tax clauses in tender documents.
- Assisting in the preparation of tax provisions for the region to ensure that financial reporting accurately reflects tax obligations.
- Reviewing the tax compliance of the various entities within the Jan De Nul Group.
- Coordinating tax audits or legal proceedings in various jurisdictions together with the finance department and external tax advisors.
- Identifying, developing, and implementing process improvements.
- Providing tax support to internal stakeholders (procurement, area controllers, etc.) and helping identify opportunities.
- Being involved in matters related to indirect tax, personal income tax, transfer pricing policies, and international operational taxation.
You will be based at our central and easily accessible offices in Aalst/Hofstade and are willing to travel abroad for short business trips.
What do you need?
You hold a Master’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or Economics, preferably with a specialization in Taxation. You have at least 7 years of experience in a Tax department within an international and/or Big 4 environment. Experience in indirect taxes and transfer pricing is a plus.
In addition to an excellent command of English, knowledge of French is considered an asset. You are willing to travel regularly for short-term stays abroad.
