About the job:
Based in Braine-l’Alleud, Belgium, you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will join the Buildings and Facilities branch, which is responsible for the management and maintenance of the facilities in the Agency’s major locations in Brussels, The Hague, Mons, Oeiras and Braine-l’Alleud.
We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Senior Technician (Facilities and Vendor Management) who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:

Supports the effective building and facilities operation;

Planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance;

Business administration: places and tracks purchase orders and deliverables;
-
Vendor management of external/ contractor provided hard and soft services, ensuring quality and legal compliant deliverables; provides subject matter expertise in the hard and/ or soft services fields;

Space planning, as builts, modifications design and execution;
-
Executes and oversees infrastructure upgrades and refurbishments.

About you:
The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:
-
Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 2 years post-related experience. Or a secondary educational qualification with 4 years post-related experience;
-
Hands-on General Maintenance Experience;
-
Knowledge of Building Systems (HVAC maintenance, fire safety systems, security and lighting systems etc);
-
Knowledge of Preventative Maintenance (scheduled inspections, maintenance records);
-
Knowledge of building codes and standards;
-
Solid understanding and experience of technical aspects of electrical, HVAC (cooling etc.), building monitoring systems, fire safety systems; security systems such as CCTV and access control, plumbing, carpentry;

Practical experience in all-round repair and maintenance of technical installations;

Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment;
-
Knowledge of building management systems monitoring;
-
Good knowledge of applicable general building technical installations regulations;
-
Experience in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc.) and proficiency in using specialized CAD (computer-aided design) applications - ACAD software, for building plans, systems modifications and updating As Built records;

Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
