Role description
As a Red Team Member, you will be part of an elite group of cybersecurity professionals responsible for simulating real-world cyber-attacks to test and improve the security posture of our organization. Your role involves identifying vulnerabilities, exploiting weaknesses, and providing actionable recommendations to enhance our defenses.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on networks, applications, and systems.
- Simulate advanced persistent threats (APTs) and other sophisticated attack scenarios.
- Collaborate with blue team members to ensure a coordinated approach to security testing and incident response.
- Document findings, create detailed reports, and present results to stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity threats, tools, and techniques.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior team members.
- Proven experience in penetration testing, ethical hacking, and red teaming.
- Knowledge of penetration testing tools, infrastructure, frameworks and methodology.
- Ability to interpret and understand penetration testing reports and vulnerabilities.
- Experience with scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash and C/C++.
- Familiarity with threat modeling and risk assessment methodologies.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, NIST, ISO 27001).
- You have in-depth knowledge of Internet technology and protocols.
- You have basic knowledge of the Incident Response lifecycle
- You are an expert in security vulnerabilities/weaknesses and related attacks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- You show integrity trust while managing confidential information.
- Experience within telecommunications environment and technologies is considered of high value.
- Mastering English is a must for the position. Speaking French and/or Dutch is a plus.
- You have a good understanding of the general topology of the internet and the essential services that are part of it.
- You have a good knowledge of Operating systems like Windows and Linux.
- You have knowledge of network technologies.
- You have a strongknowledge of corporate networks + Firewalls and other protection technologies.
