Must have:
Market knowledge: knowledge of commercially available management tools within the domain of IP and/or contract management
Ability to lead workshops and meetings to gather requirements and reach consensus
We expect an analytical ability to map processes and information flows in a structured manner, experience with projects in complex (public) organizations, and preferably also experience with preparing selection or tendering procedures.
Technology agnostic: the consultant should not have any ties to specific tools or software vendors. Neutrality is essential to provide objective advice on the most suitable solution.
Experience with change management: implementing new processes and tools requires not only technical expertise but also attention to adoption, communication, and employee support. Must be able to design solutions that are supported.
Strong technical knowledge: they must be well-versed in the possibilities of current technology in IP and contract management, automation, and workflow support. Clearly formulating future-oriented solutions is important.
Experience in implementing IP and/or Contract-related ICT solutions at other organizations (such as patent or legal firms and government institutions), preferably in complex or regulated environments.
Substantive experience with IP-related and/or legal processes. Knowledge of patent procedures and contract types (such as IP licenses, collaboration agreements, NDAs, etc.) and legal processes in general are important.
Not only translating existing processes and working methods into a new tool, but also actively thinking about improvements and broader opportunities that benefit the user experience and efficiency
