Job Overview:
As an operation specialist, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and coordinating our logistics operations to ensure efficiency, reliability, and compliance with customer requirements. You will be responsible for tracking shipments, analysing data, and communicating with internal teams and external partners to facilitate the smooth flow of goods from origin to destination.
Responsibilities:
Monitoring Shipments:
- Monitor the movement of shipments in real-time using tracking systems and software.
- Identify and address any issues or delays in transit, such as pickup delay, missing scan, or delivery exceptions.
- Proactively communicate with internal teams and customers to resolve issues.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze data on shipment status, transit times, and performance metrics to identify trends andareas for improvement.
- Generate regular reports and dashboards to provide visibility into key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
- Work closely with management to optimise logistics processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
Coordination and Communication:
- Coordinate with internal departments, including transportation, warehousing, and customsdepartment, to ensure alignment of goals and priorities.
- Communicate effectively with external partners, such freight forwarders, and customers to coordinate activities and resolve issues.
- Provide timely updates and status reports to customers and stakeholders on shipment progress and any relevant developments.
Problem Solving:
- Act as a point of contact for resolving issues and addressing customer inquiries related to shipment status and logistics operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate root causes of problems and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Escalate critical issues to management and provide recommendations for resolution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in logistics operations, transportation management, or supply chain coordination is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively withinternal and external.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- You're proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with customs clearance systems, warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS) is a plus.
- You speak fluent French and English, Chinese is a huge plus.
