We are looking for a Clinical Supply Operations Planner who is analytical, collaborative, and solution-oriented to join our Clinical Supply Chain team, based at our UCB campus located in Braine-l'Alleud, Wallonia, Belgium.
About the role
You will play a key role in ensuring the availability of clinical supplies (drug substance and drug product) for packaging and distribution. You’re going to balance fluctuating demand with supply, while optimizing costs and ensuring timely delivery across global clinical trials.
Who you will work with
You will collaborate closely with Candidate & Asset Supply Leads, Development Teams, Vendor Management, QA, and internal/external manufacturing and distribution sites. You’ll be part of a dynamic team that values precision, agility, and patient focus.
What you will do
- You will consolidate clinical & development supply demand and derive a supply plan for drug substance and drug products
- You will drive consensus on supply scenario to support key supply chain decision
- You will be responsible for gathering & aligning supply chain parameters (lead-time, batch size,…).
- You will manage inventory levels, mitigate supply disruptions, and ensure continuity across projects.
- You will act as the key End to End contact for operational supply matters with internal and external stakeholders.
- You will act as Supply representative with CMO’s and when needed perform onsite stock counts and business review meetings
- You will lead or contribute to cross-functional projects to improve planning processes.
- You will ensure compliance with quality systems and support audits and documentation reviews.
Interested? For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience, and skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in supply/demand planning, ideally in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to understand basic finance concepts.
- Proficiency in planning tools and ERP systems; APICS CPIM certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); French is a plus.
