Role purpose
The 3PL Operation Manager is responsible for overseeing all inbound and outbound activities flowing into the global warehouse hub (3PL), managing the day-to-day operations of a team of Logistics coordinators. This team ensures the timely receipt and dispatch of products at the Global Distribution Center. Additionally, the manager oversees inventory reconciliation, SOX compliance, packaging material inventory follow-up, and destruction activities. The role involves coordination with supplying sites, market logistics, customer service, and a network of supply chain partners and carriers worldwide.
The 3PL Operation Manager is part of the Zoetis European Distribution (ZED) team and the Global Logistics organization.

Team Lead Supporting Activities
  • Responsible for overseeing all operational activities inclusive of managing the day-to-day activities of a team of logistics coordinators – making sure timely, qualitative operation management from the Global distribution HUB.
  • Ensures that the people in their team have all the necessary tools available to be able to perform their tasks in a timely and qualitative manner.
  • Participates in various improvement projects and makes sure these are rolled out within the team.
  • Accomplishes the set objectives for this team and makes sure that deadlines are kept. This will require interacting with a network of supply chain partners around the world.
  • Coach and develop team members in their responsibilities.
Performance Management
  • Controls existing standard weekly/monthly KPIs and reports and provides visibility to the business.
  • Seek opportunities to improve existing systems, processes, and performance.
  • The 3PL operation manager will use information about supply and demand, and historical data from sales reports and inventory counts to build Forecast to and from the LSP.
  • Collaborates with SCL/SCL QO colleagues to ensure compliance with EU GDP regulation and Zoetis standards and processes.
LSP Capacity Management
  • Analyze & manage capacity requirements in line with inventory positions and initiatives in alignment with financial cycles.
  • Monthly process for monitoring and timely/accurate reporting, pro-actively identifying potential issues & mitigations/variances explanations – working with supply chain managers and supply planners. Facilitates reporting improvement in partnership with Finance and Inventory group.
  • Engages with NPI to gain full visibility on product launches and space requirement.
  • Reviews the 3–5-year horizon and consolidates the outlook/forecasts for stock position and WH capacity.
Stock Management
  • Responsible to monitor the Inventory levels at the European Distribution Center. Focus on supply and demand signals and identifiers if brands and markets are not carrying the best stocks. The operation manager will make projections and recommendations, Build the required business cases, launch, and lead the projects initiatives in collaboration with the Supply Group, Demand Group & Sales Departments.
  • Contribute on Supply Chain Agreements between ZED/Market & Site/ZED
  • Manage order above forecasts utilizing in transit or reviewing allocation with supply planning, demand management and Commercial teams.
  • Together with Supply & Demand teams, will review of Supply Schedule Adherence to ZED & Forecast changes from Markets.

  • Facilitation of communications top/down bottom/up through regular team meetings.
  • Reporting to management on the team’s performance and accomplishments versus set objectives.
  • Reporting of identified EHS-related risks immediately to management.
  • Team player – work together with his/her peers to identify and implement initiatives.

Qualifications
  • 5.1 Formal Education
Bachelor / Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration
Over 5 years of experience in logistics operations, including leading teams and managing third-party service providers.
Regular travel to the Netherlands required (1/week)
