Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and proactive IT/System Administrator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will support and maintain our Azure-hosted infrastructure, ensure system and data security, manage internal IT operations (hardware and software), and assist in networking and database administration. This role offers a dynamic mix of operational responsibility and hands-on technical work, ideal for someone eager to grow in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor our Azure cloud infrastructure and resources.
- Ensure security best practices are followed across systems and data.
- Provide technical support for internal hardware (laptops, printers, etc.) and software (installation, configuration, updates).
- Manage and troubleshoot networking issues (firewalls, VPNs, routers, etc.).
- Support database operations (primarily SQL-based), including monitoring, backups, and basic optimization.
- Assist in internal IT operations: asset management, user access, and license tracking.
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and IT procedures.
- Collaborate with development teams to align infrastructure with software needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a system/IT support role.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure (VMs, storage, networking, identity).
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and tools (firewalls, antivirus, endpoint protection).
- Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Familiarity with database systems (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar).
- Experience in maintaining and supporting internal IT hardware and software.
- Basic knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
- Good communication and documentation abilities.
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts (C#, Java, Python, etc.).
- Exposure to DevOps practices or tools (CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, etc.).
