Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Security Architect to join a leading organization operating at the heart of Belgium’s critical services and vital infrastructures.
In this role, you will turn the CISO’s strategic vision into concrete, robust, and future-proof technical security solutions that protect essential services millions rely on every day.
You will work across IT, OT, cloud, and network environments , ensuring regulatory compliance (NIS2, GDPR, ISO 27001, IEC 62443…) while embedding Security by Design principles into projects from day one.
Your Mission
· Shape the Security Architecture : Design and evolve a target architecture covering network, cloud, IT/OT/IoT, ICAM, data protection, and cryptography.
· Assess and Manage Risk : Identify threats and vulnerabilities, perform technical risk assessments, and recommend mitigation strategies.
· Ensure Compliance & Governance : Align solutions with standards such as CyFun, ISO 27001, NIST, IEC 62443, and NIS2, while maintaining architectural consistency.
· Advise and Support : Guide IT, OT, and business teams in integrating security requirements, including in complex SAP and hybrid environments.
· Promote Continuous Improvement : Keep pace with evolving threats, technologies, and regulations; propose innovations to strengthen resilience and detection capabilities.
What You Bring
· Education & Experience :
· Bachelor’s in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred)
· 5+ years in a similar role within complex hybrid environments (IT, OT, IoT, Cloud, ERP)
· Technical Expertise in several of the following:
· Network segmentation, Zero Trust, and Cloud Security
· Secure SAP integration
· Identity & Access Management (IAM, IGA, PAM, federation)
· Cryptography, PKI, key management, strong authentication
· XDR, SIEM, detection & response
· Architecture modeling (Archimate)
· Knowledge of Standards & Frameworks : CyFun, ISO 27001, NIST, IEC 62443, NIS2, GDPR, CIS Controls
· Certifications : CISSP strongly preferred; CISM, CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, SABSA, or equivalent valued
