Job overview
We are seeking a full-time junior HR Officer to oversee HR operations for our Luxembourg and Brussels offices. This is a stand-alone role without direct assistant support, offering the opportunity to take ownership of HR processes and documentation across both locations.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, experience of projects, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting HR efforts, while demonstrating the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, professional environment.
The position will be based in Brussels and will report to the Human Resources Business Partner - Luxembourg and Brussels - located in Luxembourg.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Operational HR Management: Manage day-to-day HR activities for both Luxembourg and Brussels offices, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and career development;
- HR Administration: Maintain personnel files, employment contracts, amendments, and legal documentation in accordance with local employment laws;
- HRIS Management: Ensure accurate data entry and reporting in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) for both offices;
- Compensation & Benefits: Support the administration of compensation and benefits, ensuring compliance with group and local standards;
- Seconded Staff Management: Oversee the integration and support of seconded staff in both offices;
- Administrative Support: Manage HR-related procurement, invoice processing, and payment follow-up independently;
- Process Documentation: Take responsibility for documenting all HR processes and procedures for the Luxembourg and Brussels offices, ensuring clarity and consistency;
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR policies and practices across both offices.
Essential skills and experience
Experience
- Degree in Human Resources, Law, or a related field;
- 2-4 years of HR experience, preferably in a professional services or legal environment.
Skills
- Good knowledge of Belgian and/or Luxembourg employment law; familiarity with the Brussels Bar Association rules is an advantage;
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite;
- Excellent organizational and communication skills in English and French; Dutch is an asset;
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities;
- High level of discretion and professionalism.
