Role: Graphic Designer
As a Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for creating compelling and visually engaging content to support communication activities across digital channels. You will collaborate with internal teams to translate complex data and messages into clear, attractive, and impactful visuals that reach diverse audiences.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Design and deliver digital assets for web and social media (banners, illustrations, icons, infographics, motion graphics, interactive elements).
Conceptualize and create web-adapted infographics, including data gathering, simplification, and visualization.
Edit and enhance photos and images to fit design requirements.
Capture photos during events or high-level meetings with EU staff.
Advise teams on visual communication strategies when needed.
Develop visual identity materials and templates for special projects.
Ensure compliance with graphics standards and maintain a consistent visual identity.
Provide expert input to deliver accessible, informative, and engaging visuals for diverse audiences.
Your Profile
Technical Skills
Proven experience in graphic design with a strong creative portfolio.
Hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design tools.
Experience with online tools (e.g. Canva) for infographics.
Familiarity with user-centered design principles and methodologies.
Photography experience and proficiency with photo-editing software.
Languages
English: B2 (understanding, speaking, writing).
Knowledge of additional EU languages is a plus.
Soft Skills
Creativity and innovative mindset.
Strong attention to detail and ability to simplify complex information.
Team player with excellent communication and advisory skills.
Education and Experience
Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and design best practices.
