Our Actuarial Services team is involved in various different service offerings towards the Belgian and international insurance market and active on a wide range of topics such as BEGAAP, Solvency II, IFRS 17, ESG, actuarial audit support to insurance companies, insurance risk management consulting and employee benefits.
Your impact
As a (Senior) Manager Actuary specializing in life insurance, you will:
Provide expert advice to insurance clients on topics such as reserving, risk management, pricing, modelling or process optimization.
Actively contribute to business development activities by identifying and creating opportunities with new and existing clients.
Be the main contact in actuarial team for the audit of life insurance companies, gaining a deep understanding of the Belgian market dynamics.
Collaborate with colleagues across various PwC territories to co-develop market strategies and technical insights.
Mentor and guide junior team members, supporting their professional growth and development.
Play a key role in expanding the department's services and fostering its growth.
About You
You possess a master's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or a related quantitative field and demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
You bring extensive experience in consulting for insurance companies and can effectively address complex challenges in various domains (risk management, pricing, modelling, etc).
You have comprehensive knowledge of BEGAAP, Solvency II, and IFRS 17 standards.
You can interpret economic and market trends to determine their impact on clients.
You have experience in coaching and developing junior team members.
You possess a strong interest in AI and emerging technologies.
You excel in communicating complex technical concepts to different audiences, ensuring clarity for non-specialists.
You are fluent in English and either French or Dutch.
