By joining the Group Strategy and Product expansion Division, you will be joining an international and geographically spread team that, through strong collaboration, articulates the business strategy and engages the company to deliver and grow profitable products & services.
Role & key Responsibilities
The deputy Head of FundsPlace Strategy and product expansion is leading and driving the FundsPlace vision & strategy and is accountable for the expansion of the franchise in new products, services and regions to increase the overall value and relevance of FundsPlace
- Strategy and vision
- Engage actively with the industry, our clients, partners to assess market dynamics and articulate vision to confirm, adapt and evolved the strategy of Euroclear FundsPlace across all the product spectrum (mutual funds , ETFs and alternative/private funds)
- Deep understanding of clients needs, market trends and competitors behaviour to identify new opportunities and ensure adequate product & services fit
- Stay ahead of emerging trends such as technological advancements and regulatory changes
2. Product development and execution
- Responsible & sponsor for the execution of strategic initiatives and new services development with accountability of the realisation of business plan
- Manage roadmap and decide on priorities and necessary trade-offs in perspective of market changes, capacity constraints and time to market
- Acting as business sponsor to develop & execute strategic partnerships (including M&A if relevant) with external players
- Steer a team of product managers to initiate new ideas and support them in focusing and execute those that will make a difference
3. Go-to-market, commercialisation and value creation
- Closely collaborate with sales & marketing teams to develop and execute go to market strategies
- Support the sales team in key clients opportunities and relationships with senior representatives
- Accountable for P&L of the services (including pricing strategy) and the benefits realisation of new developments/partnerships
4. Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders across all levels in the organisation (incl. C suite and division heads) and functions (sales, technology, operations, legal, risk, and compliance).
- Establish relationship with our key clients as well as market influencers
- At least 15 years of experience with deep knowledge of the Funds industry acquired by working for asset managers, funds platform, funds servicers, wealth managers or Funds management companies
- Strong understanding of funds distribution services, execution and custody related services
- Experience, knowledge and interests for all investments funds products, especially ETFs and alternatives funds
- Proven experience in product manager role including min 5 years leadership role with strategic focus
- Familiarity and deep & large connections with the Funds industry players
- Proven experience in developing and managing strategic partnerships and M&As
- Experience with platform technology, API, AI, and data solution will be a plus
- Proven interest for DTL related initiatives and tokenization topics will be a plus
- Leadership and influence: Proven ability to lead and energize cross-functional teams and drive strategic projects forward to C-suite levels in full autonomy
- Strategic & innovative thinker: Ability to see the big picture, analyse complex market dynamics, and define a compelling vision.
- Client-Focused and commercially savvy: A deep empathy for clients and a passion for creating solutions that solve their problems. At ease with sales effort and be exposed to customers for commercial pitch
- Excellent Communicator: verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Resilient & Results-Oriented: A proactive, self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical & Data-Driven: Comfortable with financial modelling and using data to inform decisions and measure success.
- Technically Proficient: Able to effectively engage in technical discussions with engineering teams.
Frequent travel might be required 1-2 days a week
