Job Description
Purpose of the Role:
To lead and further develop Sobi’s operations in the BELUX market in alignment with the company’s vision, values, and principles. The role aims to maximize the commercial potential of Sobi’s portfolio in the region while ensuring full compliance with local legislation. The position carries full responsibility for fulfilling the company’s legal obligations within the territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance: Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with GxP (GCP, GVP, HCC) standards and local regulations.
- Market Access: Lead and manage market access and patient access processes as a critical driver for growth, maintaining a strong understanding of relevant legislation and acting accordingly.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, healthcare providers, the Ministry of Health (MoH), decision-makers, payers, business partners, physicians, patient organizations, and consultants.
- Revenue & Sales: Achieve ambitious revenue targets and sales objectives.
- Business Development: Actively contribute to business development initiatives and portfolio selection.
- Market Research & Strategy: Conduct market research for potential or new products and propose effective product strategies.
- Organizational Design: Develop and structure the local organization to reflect current and future business potential.
- Planning & Budgeting: Prepare sales plans, forecasts, and annual budgets.
- Product Complaints & Pharmacovigilance: Address product complaints effectively and manage adverse events and pharmacovigilance issues in collaboration with HQ in Stockholm.
Scope of the Role
- Authority to order services and monitor costs within approved budgets.
- Authority to propose external consultants and partners.
Principal Interfaces / Relationships
- Internal: Collaborate with various cross-functional teams within the organization.
- External: Engage with local authorities, healthcare providers, the Ministry of Health, decision-makers, payers, business partners, physicians, patient organizations, and consultants.

Education & Learning Experience
- Required:
- University degree in a medical or science-based field.
- Excellent understanding and knowledge of the healthcare market.
Work Experience
- Mandatory Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Belgian pharmaceutical market, specifically in rare diseases.
- In-depth knowledge of the haemophilia market in Belgium.
- Fluency in French, English, and Dutch (spoken and written).

- Proven experience in multi-stakeholder project management and leadership, with a track record of delivering results on time and within budget.
- Flexibility and adaptability to manage change and operate effectively in uncertain environments.
