Job Description
We're seeking an Application & Technical Service Manager to lead, develop, and mentor our Application Engineer team in the specialty tapes sector. This role ensures top-tier customer technical support, fostering strong relationships and driving proactive solutions. You'll be crucial in advancing new business opportunities by collaborating with Sales, R&D, and Marketing, directly impacting business growth and overseeing all technical training initiatives.
What You'll Do:
Lead and develop a team of Application & Technical Service Engineers.
Oversee all technical support activities and complex issue resolution.
Guide the team in building strong customer relationships.
Drive business growth by partnering with Sales on technical pipeline conversion.
Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Marketing, Sales, and Operations.
Manage technical and product training programs for internal and external stakeholders.
Effectively manage team resources and project prioritization.
Travel periodically (up to 25-30% weekly).
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a relevant scientific or engineering field.
5+ years technical experience (adhesives, coatings, tapes industries ideal).
3+ years leadership experience managing customer-facing technical teams.
Proven ability to manage customer relationships and drive growth.
Strong leadership, business acumen, communication, and problem-solving skills.
English fluency; French, Dutch, or German a plus.
