Role description
An Agile coach helps agile constructs in implementing the 'agile way of working' by guiding teams, individuals in their development and by facilitating the culture change that is necessary for a sustainable and successful anchoring of agile
The goal of the Coach is for the team or target group to become self-coaching and adept when the coach leaves.
Function description:
Guide the teams, and individuals in the implementation of the Client agile operating model, in particular by applying usage or implementation techniques. To this end, he/she determines the maturity and knowledge of the methodology in the team in order to determine which techniques are most suitable.
Motivates employees to embrace the 'agile way of working', including their values and behavioural characteristics
Actively participates in the operational meetings of the teams: monitors the quality of the use of the methodology involved, proposes tailor-made work processes that are in line with the methodology and makes recommendations to the target populations
Takes the lead in all aspects of change management that have to do with the required new way of thinking for the application of the methodology: the organization of training, mentoring and/or, if necessary, individual coaching; simplifies or provides support for the coaching/mentoring provided by others.
Tailors training, documentation and/or working documents to simplify the learning process and implementation of the methodology in day-to-day operations
Guarantees that his/her own knowledge of the methodologies used in the entities or target groups is optimal.
Works as a team together with fellow agile coaches with the aim of proposing, discussing and implementing continuous improvements after evaluation
Facilitates and coordinates agile ceremonies (squad, tribe, guild, ...) or ceremonies around specific theme
Required experience / knowledge
Proven experience in a complex organization for at least 6 years
Technical experience:
Mandatory
Has an excellent knowledge of the Client agile operating model with links to the following disciplines: product, process, people, technology
Experience facilitating groups, helping them in learning process, knowing how to identify and leverage team dynamics
Preferable
Experience as a trainer
