As a Consultant in Access Engineering, you will play a key role in supporting the rollout of FTTH (Fiber to the Home) by ensuring the materials used in our network are effective, high-quality, and field-tested. Working closely with engineers, designers, and field teams, you will help translate technical feedback into improvements that have a real impact on performance and customer satisfaction.

You will:

• Develop a clear process for selecting and validating materials used in FTTH deployment and maintenance
• Gather and analyze feedback from internal teams and field technicians
• Propose improvements based on technical insights and operational realities
• Visualize progress, coordinate change, and align with stakeholders
• Review installation guidelines and contribute to documentation quality
• Be present in the field when necessary to observe, validate, and support implementations
• Promote solution-driven thinking and inspire collaboration across departments

This is a hands-on, high-impact role with the opportunity to shape the technical backbone of our FTTH infrastructure.

Jouw profiel

We’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise, field awareness, and strong communication skills.

Your profile:

• A structured, detail-oriented mindset with a broad overview
• Eagerness to learn and a genuine interest in network technologies
• Strong writing skills – able to draft and review technical documents in fluent English
• Proven experience in network infrastructure, engineering, or maintenance
• A collaborative attitude – you connect people and encourage teamwork
• Familiarity with quality standards (IEC, spec sheets, requirement docs) is a plus
• Comfortable working in the field when needed (driver’s license required)
• Fluent in English (Dutch and/or French are a bonus)
• A Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience
