We are seeking a diligent and organized Warehouse Assistant to join our team in Louvain-la-Neuve. Roles and Responsibilities
As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be integral to our logistics and laboratory support functions. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Sample & Equipment Management: Manage the complete lifecycle of geotechnical samples and equipment, including receipt from project sites, secure storage, dispatch, and final disposal.
- Logistics & Coordination: Coordinate the receipt and dispatch of materials with couriers, meticulously checking all items against accompanying paperwork and logging them into our system.
- Inventory & Organisation: Maintain a precise record of sample and equipment locations within the warehouse, ensuring a well-organized and easily accessible storage system.
- Laboratory Support: Prepare and sort samples for laboratory testing, including batching, placing samples in drying ovens, and completing all required documentation and spreadsheet updates.
- Procurement & Supply: Manage warehouse consumables by ordering new sample bags, geo-boxes, and other necessary equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and promote a safe working environment within the warehouse at all times.
Requirements
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual ready to join a dynamic team. The key requirements are:
- Educational Background: A CESS (Certificat d'Enseignement Secondaire Supérieur) or equivalent qualification.
- Certifications: A valid 'Reach' forklift truck license is essential.
- Professional Experience: No prior experience is required; a proactive attitude and willingness to learn are key.
- Key Skills: A strong eye for detail with excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
- IT Proficiency: Proficient in IT, especially with Microsoft Excel (including the use of spreadsheets with embedded macros) and email communication.
