Overview:
This position is in charge of the logistics flow of domestic and cross border transport of suppliers into Belgium.
This by ensuring best in class performance on main KPI’s, resulting in excellent on-time performance/transit time and costs. On top of this, this role will oversee accurate stock management by the logistics coordinator & intern
Responsibilities:- Responsible for the review of existing 3PL/carrier SLAs: Identify gaps with respect to the contract SLA’s and takes actions to mitigate or redefine current KPI
- Actively engaged in productivity projects (>25K) in relation with 3PL’s and carriers
- Identifies gaps in the current execution of the signed contract and creates transparency by improving current working procedures.
- Review and analysis of costs and KPI’s from 3PL/external haulers; and take corrective actions if necessary.
- Responsible for AOP preparation exercices for own scope
- SME and SPOC for finance on Analysis of deviations between AOP and Actuals
- Provides transport volume and costing data to support of P & L calculations
- Creating purchase orders in SAP
- Follow up of invoices, 3 way match and identify and rectify errors Invoices journal entry in SAP
- Streamline invoicing process with carriers
- Creating monthly accrual for Belgian domestic & cross border transport
- Follow up the administrative process of manual invoices
- Assuring flawless execution of transport from foreign plants (finished goods)
- Assuring planned volumes (transport, warehousing and storage) for Belgium stay within operational limits and finding solutions if they are exceeded
- Oversight & control on stock control activities executed by team members, to apply with corporate key controls
- RCA of failed idocs and improvement initiatives
- Back-up of VSF logistics coordinator in his/her absence
- Min 3 years’ experience in supply chain role, preferably in a fast-moving environment
- Masters degree in logistics, or supply chain related
- Proven strong thinking/ problem solving skills - able to identify and remove obstacles to progress
- Good understanding & experience in working with SAP
- Thorough knowledge of MS Office modules (especially Excel)
- Strong analytical skills- can analyse figures, make connections and draw conclusions
- Strong eye for detail and are able to see connections in data, events and trends
- Is a problem-solver – root cause analysis to drive forward thinking and problem solving
- Strong financial skills, excellent with data & numbers
- Fluency in Dutch & English
