Summary:
The Vein-to-Vein Planning organization is a global team focused on enhancing the patient journey for cell therapies through effective planning and logistics support. As our business expands from operating as individual manufacturing nodes towards the world’s largest cell therapy manufacturing network, there’s an increased need for a global slot scheduling strategy and planning processes that help us optimize batch level planning in the Master Planning horizon. This role as Global MPS Senior Manager is a newly created role to help craft that global strategy and lead the existing teams to build the appropriate planning processes to execute on that strategy from a process as well as a system perspective. What makes this role very exciting is the variety of important elements: people leader of people leaders, global leadership of teams across regions (US & Belgium), shaping new planning processes, designing system requirements for those processes, and most importantly, a direct impact in our responsibility to increase patient experience and reach by optimizing the way we plan.
Key responsibilities:
People leader of people leaders. Drive a culture of high performance and support the personal development of your team members.
Drive global harmonization across the regional scheduling teams with focus to increase patient reach (slot utilization) and patient experience (turnaround time)
Expand the current scheduling scope from customer orders (2-3 months) to all demand within the MPS horizon (3 years) to drive proactive planning optimization
Partner with regional and global commercial teams to drive proactive planning
Learn and anticipate customer behaviors and partner with the demand and IBP team to foster seamless transition across planning processes
Translate new planning processes to business requirements to help design new system capabilities for the future
Drive functional harmonization and leverage existing planning capabilities from the broader IMSC
Qualifications:
Education:
Minimum Bachelor's or equivalent University degree is required, focus degree in Engineering and/or Supply Chain is preferred. A Master’s degree is preferred
Experience and skills:
Required:
A minimum 8 years of professional experience in a relevant field (planning, logistics, manufacturing etc)
2+ years of people leadership experience
Comfortable to work in a global and ambiguous setting that is in flux
Effective communication skills (candid, concise, active listening)
Relentless drive for excellence
Strong self-awareness & open for giving/receiving feedback
Preferred:
Experience in Advanced Therapy within Pharmaceutical industry
Proven track record in manufacturing site planning is preferred
Experience interacting with commercial partners is preferred
Other:
Ability to travel up to 10%, domestic & international required.
