We are looking for a EMEA Director, Hubs Distribution Operations
Objectives & responsibilities :
The EMEA Director of Hubs Distribution Operations is responsible for leading a team of approximately 200 professionals to operate a complex distribution network across the EMEA region and Rest of the World (ROW). This role ensures the delivery of innovative medicine products—both commercial and clinical—as well as raw materials (RM) and consumables for Advanced Therapies, meeting quality, quantity, timing, and documentation standards.
The Director leads and governs the operations of key Distribution Centers (DCs) in Beerse and La Louvière (hubs), along with the Engineering, Systems & Utilities group. This includes oversight of inbound, storage, pick/pack, outbound, and repack operations, all performed in compliance with Good Distribution Practices (GDP).
The Director also drives cross-functional alignment with internal business stakeholders (CSC, Vein-to-Vein Advanced Therapies, Transport) and Quality partners to ensure coordinated execution and strategic results. The Director plays a key leadership role as part of the EMEA Deliver Innovative Medicines (IM) Leadership Team.
Essential duties and responsibilities :
- Lead the EDN organization in developing a performance-driven culture focused on service excellence, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance across all EMEA distribution operations.
- Ensure alignment of team goals with departmental KPIs and strategic objectives, translating them into measurable targets for leaders and employees.
- Sponsor a culture of continuous talent development by driving initiatives in coaching, multiskilling, and job rotation, with a strong emphasis on diversity and inclusion.
- Oversee budget planning and control, including OPEX, CAPEX, CIP (Capital Investment Program), and cross-charge mechanisms across internal stakeholders and business units.
- Champion organizational readiness and flawless execution for strategic programs including new product introductions (NPI), divestitures, acquisitions, and product delisting projects across the EMEA region.
- Represent EDN as the official Narcotics Registrar, ensuring compliance and accuracy in the administration and documentation of narcotics and psychotropic substances for clinical products (IMPs).
- Provide executive leadership across multiple functional teams, including Clinical Distribution Team (CDT), EDN Country & Business Support, EDC La Louvière, DC Beerse, and the Systems & Engineering team.
