Description
The Accountant Benelux will be part of the financial team of Glory Benelux, situated in Zellik. As a team, we aim at qualitative and accurate financial support, reporting towards management and ownership of the financial handling for Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Within this role, you shall work closely with the Accounting Assistant and report directly to the Finance Operations Manager.This is a temporary replacement, due to long-term absence of the current job holder.
Key Responsibilities
You assist in the realization of the monthly, and annual financial statements in line with local accounting standards and in line with IFRS, following the accounting policies of the Glory Group.In close collaboration with HR and our external partners (SD Worx) you translate the payroll calculation towards the accounting system.
You manage our fixed assets, working on depreciations.
You will be confirming all intercompany transactions with other Glory-entities.
You will be responsible for the Benelux intercompany transfers and splitting the Benelux on GL accounts.
You are responsible for the preparation on provisions and accruals in the monthly closing.
You will be responsible for the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconcilliations.
You will be the POC regarding the financial ERP system.
You will be preparing and confirming the VAT and Recupel/Reprobel declarations.
You will support obligated ad hoc questionnaires.
You will support the Financial Controller with various reporting to the group, margin analysis and stock movements.
You will manage with the Financial Controller the internal and external audits.
You will support the Financial Controller on best practices and improvement of accounting processes
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONSBachelor or Master degree on Accounting or equal by experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Very good knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office tools. Knowledge of JDE (Oracle) is a plus, but not essential.
Very good knowledge of Dutch or French, and very good knowledge of English.
Eager to learn and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
