Your mission:
The In Vitro Pharmacology department is seeking to recruit a biology researcher interested in the development of therapeutic treatments in the context of preclinical research in neurology. The successful candidate will actively participate in the development of novel technologies to identify small molecule inhibitors or activators of preclinical drug targets to treat neurodegenerative diseases such as, Alzheimer's disease. He or she will be integrated into the biochemistry and imaging team and will participate in the organization of assays within these fields, setting up novel assays and supporting projects. The objective will be to identify and explore novel small molecule modulators, understand the mechanism of action and test the efficacy of compounds in vitro. The candidate will deepen his/her knowledge in neuroscience, biochemistry and mechanism of action studies in different therapeutic modalities, within a dynamic team.
Your profile:
The following qualifications are required:
- We are looking for a candidate with a Master's degree, PhD or Cellular engineering or neuroscience degree, with at least two years of laboratory work in the field of cell and molecular biology and experience in iPSC biology.
- Strong knowledge of biochemical techniques like qPCR, Western blot, ELISA is required
- Knowledge in immunocytochemistry and confocal imaging and image analysis are strong advantages
- Experience of working with Lentivirus (LVV) and Adeno Associated Virus (AAV) will be an asset
- Ability to analyze and interpret results accurately and critically.
- Computer skills/familiarity required (PC, Windows, software), as well as a good command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Languages: English, minimum B2
- Team spirit, proactivity, positive attitude is essential.
The following qualifications are desired:
- Knowledge in Neuroscience/Cell biology.
- Knowledge in gene-editing technology and RNA sequencing methods.
- Ability to present essential information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to learn new techniques according to the needs of the project.
- Organizational skills, problem-solving skills.
- Curiosity, flexibility, autonomy, collaboration.

- Be between 18 and 28 years old;
- Hold the nationality of a member country of the European Economic Area;
- Have not worked or lived in the country where the mission will take place;
- Be available to dedicate yourself to the mission full-time;
- If you have French nationality or dual nationality, be in compliance with the national service obligations of France (Numéro Identifiant Défense);
- Have a clean criminal record.
