All training courses within Jan De Nul Group are concentrated in the Jan De Nul Academy. This coordinating organisation offers courses to various departments. The training courses are tailored to the employee's career: after a training for starters, everybody receives a training programme, set up per function.
As a Trainer Technical Department, you will be responsible for developing and teaching internal technical training courses from the Technical Department Dredging and Offshore, for both staff and crew. Together with your team, you will try to boost the product knowledge and the technology knowledge of the internal employees. In addition, trainers are designated to numerous technical domains.
Your tasks and responsibilities include:
- Development of course subjects, training material and e-learning modules within the framework of the Jan De Nul Academy.
- Maintain an overview and develop training plans within the Technical Department.
- Providing classroom training (e.g. engine room simulator, pump room).
- Maintaining and providing knowledge through site visits.
- Determining the number of training sessions and requesting trainings at external training centres.
- Strive together with the Technical Department and JDN Academy to optimize technical knowledge within the company.
- Evaluating the training needs and efforts.
What do you need to have?
Experience or a strong affinity with the dredging/maritime industry is a requirement for this function as most of the training courses mainly focus on practice (engine room simulator, dredge pump training, etc..). In order to develop/maintain your knowledge, you are willing to make trips abroad to board our vessels.
