We are looking for a Senior New Product Introduction (NPI) Project Manager specializing in Avionics to join our R&D department at ScioTeq BV. As the Sr NPI Project Manager Avionics, you will play a crucial role in leading the successful introduction of new avionics products from development to production.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire NPI process, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, … to drive the successful launch of avionics products.
Your responsibilities
NPI project management:
Manages NPI projects from Key Operations Readiness (KOR) to Production Readiness Review (PRR) to successful completion in terms of product requirements/performance, scope, schedule, TRC cost, project cost, customer expectation, process, quality, risks and certification requirements.
Leads the assigned NPI project team during the execution of the project, define staffing and competence needs, coordinate between different functional teams.
Manages subcontracted developments.
Defines and executes the product launch plan.
Reports on project status to internal and external stakeholders.
NPI project process ownership:
Establishes NPI project management methodologies, processes and best practices. Improve NPI project workflow, governance and collaboration.
Standardizes tools, templates, and best practices across projects.
Define KPIs and dashboards and ensures transparency and consistency on project status, risks, and resource needs.
Provides mentorship, coaching and feedback to NPI project managers.
Takes the NPI process ownership for Avionics development and support internal and external process audits.

NPI project execution ownership:
Track KPI’s and dashboards and define improvement actions.
Monitors the health and progress of NPI projects, conducts regular project reviews and ensures timely delivery of milestones.
Enforces project methodologies, processes and best practises.
Supports project managers in resolving conflicts, escalated issues, risks and developing cross functional and project cooperations.
Leading NPI project management team:
Evolves to the hierarchical lead of the NPI project management team.
Coaches and develops NPI project managers.
Drives a continuous improvement culture and collaboration.
You will report to the R&D director.
Master’s degree in engineering (Hardware, Software and/or Firmware) with min. 10 years of experience.Proven strong experience in managing and driving performance of product development and industrialization projects in a multi-project and department environment, especially in avionics industry.
Strong background in NPI project management processes. Expertise in project and program management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Stage-Gate, Lean, CI, PMI).
Strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills in English.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving.
Navigates challenging situations with tact and diplomacy.
