)We are seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to maintain, optimize, and secure our SQL Server database environments. This role is critical for ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity across all systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a proactive approach to database management and problem resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Database Management: You will install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server instances and databases to ensure stable and efficient operations.
Performance Tuning: You will monitor system performance, analyze slow-running queries, and implement tuning strategies such as indexing and execution plan optimization.
Backup & Recovery: You will implement and manage backup and recovery procedures to protect data and ensure fast restoration in case of failure.
Security Management: You will manage user access, roles, and permissions, and enforce security protocols to safeguard sensitive information.
Troubleshooting: You will diagnose and resolve issues related to performance, connectivity, and database errors to maintain system stability.
Maintenance: You will perform regular maintenance tasks, including database integrity checks, cleanup operations, and updates to statistics.
Documentation: You will maintain detailed and accurate documentation of database environments, configurations, processes, and recovery procedures.
Automation: You will automate routine database tasks using scripts and tools to ensure consistency, reliability, and efficiency.
Collaboration: You will work closely with development teams to design, review, and optimize database schemas and queries that support business applications.
Disaster Recovery: You will develop, document, and regularly test disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and data loss during critical incidents.
Compliance: You will ensure database operations align with data governance policies and meet relevant regulatory compliance requirements.
You have the following skills
Technical Skills
You have strong proficiency in SQL Server database management and administration across multiple environments.
You have solid experience with SQL Server-related services such as Reporting Services (SSRS) and Integration Services (SSIS).
You have a clear understanding of security principles and have applied security standards in database environments.
You have strong skills in T-SQL and database programming for writing efficient, maintainable queries and procedures.
You have hands-on experience using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and other database management tools.
You have a track record of implementing performance tuning and optimization techniques, including indexing, query rewriting, and monitoring tools.
You have practical knowledge of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
You have familiarity with other database technologies such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MySQL, which is considered a plus.
You have experience working with monitoring tools like SCOM to track and respond to system performance and alerts.
Language Requirements
You are fluent in English (spoken and written) – this is mandatory.
Knowledge of French AND/or Dutch
Votre profil
You have strong proficiency in SQL Server database management and administration across multiple environments.
If you are at least fluent in ENG with FR/NL it’s best
