A job at the crossroads of engineering, coordination and communicationAs an early riser, you like to be one of the first on site. With a strong coffee in your hand, you go over the daily schedule, and then you are ready to make sure the site day runs smoothly. The site manager is the central contact point on the site: you are in contact with workers, foremen, architects, suppliers... You keep all the balls in the air and know where the site's priorities lie. You usually do this from the site itself, of course. We therefore aim for your workplace to be no more than an hour's drive from where you live.
Your tasks
- You take operational control of the site: you start with the necessary preparation and, using the project plan, coordinate the work so that everyone knows what to do.
- You communicate regularly with the project manager and external parties (architects, suppliers, etc.).
- You ensure compliance with quality, safety and environmental regulations.
- You manage budgets for the purchase of materials.
- You draw up schedules and progress reports.
- You lead the site meetings.
You do not do this alone, of course. You can count on the support of (experienced) colleagues around you. You learn “on the job”, and the project leader and Buildings Manager are there to answer your questions.
Your profile
- A bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering construction, civil engineer-architect or industrial engineer construction.
- The technical knowledge to talk smoothly with workers and foremen and give them clear instructions.
- The mindset of a communicative and coordinating go-getter who keeps everyone involved informed and motivated.
- Flexibility and eagerness to learn so that you can switch smoothly between the different dimensions of your job.
