Fednot is the Federation of Belgian Notaries. Our mission is to support over 1,100 notary offices and approximately 8,000 notary employees with legal expertise, management advice, IT solutions, training, and information for the general public.
As a division of Fednot, the ICT service unit develops innovative solutions that support notaries in their digital transformation journey and improve the overall user experience for notaries and their customers.
The job:
As a Senior Functional Tester, you are in charge of validating that the developed software operates as expected, on both technical and functional level. You support the other members of the software delivery team by your quality assurance expertise. You are responsible for functional and non-functional testing, end-to-end testing with external partners, from integration to qualification as well as end user support for acceptance testing. You also play a role in the continuous improvement effort of testing processes and the implementation of quality assurance.
You will report to your Team Leader and work in close contact with functional analysts & developers within our product development department.
We’re located right in the center of Brussels. The Metro Station is right by the corner and the Central Train Station is just two blocks away.
Where are you going to work?
Hybrid: In the office (40%) & Homeworking (60%).

We develop and deliver software that cover all notary domains (real estate, enterprise, family, etc.) and are based on state-of-the-art technologies.
The job:
As a Senior Functional Tester, you are in charge of validating that the developed software operates as expected, on both technical and functional level. You support the other members of the software delivery team by your quality assurance expertise. You are responsible for functional and non-functional testing, end-to-end testing with external partners, from integration to qualification as well as end user support for acceptance testing. You also play a role in the continuous improvement effort of testing processes and the implementation of quality assurance.

As Senior Functional Tester (automated testing for API’s + manual for UI’s), your main responsibilities will include...
- To define the test strategy
- To create & manage your test data and accounts
- To review business requests and analysis documents ;
- To create and execute test cases, scenarios and plans ;
- To follow up on defects and issues and write test reports ;
- To automate test cases for efficient & continuous non-regression testing (focus on API testing automation)
- To estimate the test effort and test plans required for an initiative ;
- To support & coordinate all involved stakeholders (internal & external) for smooth E2E testing of our integrations.
- To improve processes and test deliverables ;
Technical skills… You have...
- A bachelor’s degree or above ;
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in software testing
- Experience with Manual testing, API testing and building test strategies;
- Strong knowledge of testing processes and methodologies (ISTQB certification is an asset);
- Experience in testing Java services, web services, REST API’s, proxy services and open standards such as XML, XSD, WSDL ;
- Knowledge of tools such as Jira, Xray, Postman and ReadyAPI. Katalon or Selenium are a plus.
- Experience working in Agile environments ;
Softskills....You are ...
- Fluent in both Dutch/English or French/ English and you at least have a good understanding of the other national language.
- Teamplayer at ease with sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues, able to create an atmosphere of openness;
- Attentive to details, have strong analytical and communication skills;
- Result driven and never diminish quality for speed ;
