Role description:
Context
The bank is currently replacing its core banking system (the central platform handling accounts, transactions, products, etc.).
This is a large-scale, multi-phase program (CBR = Core Banking Replacement).
The program is now entering Phase 3 & 4, and requires a Release Manager to ensure smooth delivery of software/product releases.
Main Responsibilities
1. Coordination between Business & IT
Ensure business requirements and priorities feed into IT development and testing on time.
Guarantee that IT has clarity on what to build and that the business provides inputs when needed.
2. Remove Obstacles
Identify and resolve blockers (e.g., missing data, delayed approvals, dependencies on other teams).
Coordinate with external stakeholders to clear issues.
3. Track and Manage Issues
Maintain an issue log, follow up until resolution, and ensure no item is forgotten.
4. Reporting & Governance
Provide regular updates to Program Management via predefined reports and dashboards.
Ensure the team follows program governance standards (processes, cadence, tools).
5. Team Support
Monitor individual progress and ensure no team member is stuck.
Act as the team’s representative/relay towards program management.
6. Agile Ceremonies & Planning
Define and track epic-level plans (major user stories/features).
Organize sprint planning and sprint reviews.
Oversee delivery rhythm in line with agile/iterative practices.
Skills Needed
Strong coordination & communication across business, IT, and management.
Solid Project/Program Management skills (PMI or Prince2 certification is a plus).
Collaborative, structured, and direct — able to cut through complexity and drive progress.
Experience managing cross-functional teams (developers, testers, BAs, architects).
Fluent in French and English.
Level
Senior role: 10–15 years of experience.
Proven track record in large-scale banking IT programs, ideally involving core banking systems.
QUALIFICATION WITH THE MANAGER
There is a large and complex project (called CBR- CORE BANKING REPLACEMENT PROGRAM) at Keytrade to change their banking system, divided into 5 phases.
Team size: 80 people in total
Focus role: The new Release Manager will work on Phase 3 and Phase 4, with a team of 10–12 people in these phases.
Key Responsibilities:

Ensure smooth implementation of changes
Strong focus on soft skills: leadership, collaboration, communication
Be a senior professional who can get things done
Requirements:
Experience in banking or financial markets (mandatory)
Languages: English required, French preferred
Ensure the program stays on track and report to senior leadership.
