Job Description:

The Regional Security Technology Advisor (RSTA) provides physical security subject matter expertise to J&J entities in the Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) region to ensure alignment with the J&J Global Security standards and policies. This position is based in Belgium.

While upholding the values of Our Credo, the RSTA role involves supporting the technology strategy for Global Security as well as managing projects, upgrades, deployments, and improvements of current and future technology capabilities.

Within the current Global Security technology landscape are the following system categories:

• Access Management (AM),

• Video and CCTV Management (VM),

• Visitor Management (VS),

• Emergency Communication (EC),

• Incident Case Management (IM),

• Business Travel Security (BTS),

• Threat Intelligence (TI), and

• Risk Assessment applications (RA)

• Hard and software maintenance and problem resolution strategy (TM)

The RSTA reports to the Global Security Senior Manager of Technology and Innovation with a strong dotted line to the Global Security EMEA Senior Regional Security Director.

Critical to the role will be regional internal partnerships with Corporate Business Technology, Information Security & Risk Management, Procurement, Finance, Engineering and Property Services, Environment Health and Safety, Human Resources, Brand Protection, Quality, Supply Chain, and in-region business partners.

You will be responsible for :

• Function as the Global Security (GS) regional SME for physical security technology and physical security solutions.

• Drive the enrollment of the J&J Global Security Technology Standards in the EMEA region.

• Develop and drive the regional security technology strategy in alignment with the global security technology strategy.

• Support the creation, periodic updates, and further development of security and design standards.

• Maintain regional ownership and support of global physical security solution deployments, upgrades, and initiatives, ensuring consistency between countries within the supported region.

• Develop (or review) security technology design plans for construction or upgrade projects (new sites, buildings, secured areas, technology solutions) to ensure full compliance with the GS Minimum Security Standards (MSS), the GS Security Technology Standards, and local regulatory requirements.

• Commissioning and validation of implemented technology & physical security solutions as described in the security technology design plan upon completion of a security project or initiatives.

• Drive innovation by prospecting and recommending new methods, technologies and techniques to improve security solutions and technology.

• Support physical security and technology gap assessments at J&J sites across the region and assist with the development of a gap mitigation plan.

• Execute within a high-performance team model (HPT) where responsibilities and decision-making are shared throughout various business units and partners.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Professional degree: Bachelor’s degree in security management, electronic engineering, or equivalent through experience.

• Certifications: - ASIS CPP, PSP certifications, or equivalent are a plus.

• A minimum of 5 years experience in a security technology and/or physical security specialist role, preferably in a chemical or pharmaceutical industry environment with regional or global responsibility.

• In-depth understanding of the security technology landscape to include, but is not limited to, access control systems, intrusion detection systems, and video management systems.

• Experience with Honeywell, Genetec, AXIS, Milestone, and other major security solution providers is a plus.

• Proven track record in driving security technology innovation with functional understanding of physical security system and network configurations.

• Project management skills to include design, reviewing technical requirements, and conceptualizing security solutions and delivery.

• External Contacts: Active membership of relevant security associations (e.g. ASIS) is a plus.

• Language Skills: professional proficiencies in English, both spoken and written. Proficiency in Dutch and French is recommended.
