Avantor is seeking a motivated Quality Assurance Specialist – Private Label Chemicals to join our team at our site in Haasrode, Leuven. You’ll join the Quality Assurance team, where you'll focus on supply chain–related activities. You will be responsible for implementing, overseeing, and reporting on the quality system for chemical and pharmaceutical products, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
This is a full-time, permanent position based at our Leuven site in the Researchpark Haasrode. You will work onsite from Monday through Friday with flexible hours, starting between 7:30 and 9:00 am and finishing between 3:00 and 6:00 pm, with an option to end early on Fridays at 3:00 pm. After a successful probation period, you’ll have the possibility of working from home one day per week. No shifts or weekend work are required. The team
You’ll join the Quality Assurance team where collaboration and team spirit is key. You’ll work together to ensure products and services meet the established standards of quality.
what we’re looking for
Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a scientific field is preferred
Experience: Previous Quality Assurance experience is a plus but not mandatory. Supply Chain or chemical background desired.
Languages: Fluency in Dutch and good English level is a must; French is a plus
Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
Critical thinking and hands-on mentality
Strong MS Office Suite skills
Proficient in SAP or other similar ERP system is an advantage
Knowledge of ISO900 or ISO 13485 is desired
Understanding of ISO11137/ ISO14644/ EU-GMP, IPEC or ISO 17025/34 and industry regulatory requirements is a plus
How you’ll thrive and make an impact
Evaluate, test, and inspect products and systems to ensure quality, handle non-conformance issues, and lead corrective and preventive actions
Manage and analyze quality data, lead internal audits, draft documentation, and oversee batch records and equipment calibration
Support customer and supplier audits, host third-party inspections, and represent the company’s quality systems externally
Approve technical agreements, oversee risk management, and validate key changes in procedures, materials, and equipment
Interpret, set up and implement quality assurance standards to assure compliance with GMP, ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and ISO 17025/34 and industry regulatory requirements.
Regularly communicate with the internal production team, QA, QC to identify opportunities for quality and productivity improvement.
Review and analyze statistical quality data to identify improvement areas, then report on key findings from quality activities and qualification processes
Draft and approve quality assurance work instructions and supporting documentation in accordance with the Avantor policy, Legal Environmental & Safety regulation, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001
