The scope, here, is leading operational activities of a GMP-compliant laboratory dedicated to vaccines, ensuring quality, compliance, and delivery performance.

The Key responsibilities expected from our consultant might include:

Support projects through high-quality and detail-oriented execution, ensuring accuracy and meeting expectations:

• Develop laboratory procedures, keep them updated, and put them into practice
• Provide technical support to technicians during routine tests and investigations
• Draft periodic OOS and batch-note reports

Support projects with rational and data-driven assessments regarding costs, quality, and timelines, providing objective analyses for decision-making:

• Monitor deviations, batch notes, investigations, and OOS until they are closed on time
• Evaluate individual objectives through regular performance reviews

Support projects by facilitating communication and reporting between stakeholders:

• Plan analytical tests with client departments to meet agreed deadlines
• Coordinate partner-department requests and relay them to the team
• Manage operational continuity by arranging leave, absences, and priorities
• Ensure GMP and EH&S compliance is understood and applied by the team
• Collaborate with R&D and GMT to transfer and implement new analytical methods
• Train staff and maintain their qualifications for new activities
• Lead the team to maintain a healthy work environment, resolve conflicts, and enforce internal rules

The experience we are actively looking for:

• Master's degree (or equivalent) in analytical chemistry, pharmacy, or related field
• Minimum 5 years in pharmaceutical QC labs
• Proven team management experience under GMP
• Hands-on knowledge of physico-chemical methods (HPLC, UV, IR, Karl Fischer...)
• Strong leadership, organization, and analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal communication
• Experience with lab IT tools (LIMS, Empower, Excel)
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
• Valid work and residence permits for Belgium (mandatory for non-EU candidates)
• Immediate availability and presence in Belgium are preferred
