What will you do as Marketing Director?
As Marketing Director, you shape the image and positioning of the Ghent Marriott Hotel, both locally and internationally. You develop and coordinate creative, results-driven campaigns that make an impact.
Your responsibilities include:
Developing and implementing the marketing strategy in line with Marriott International brand standards and our local ambitions.
Coordinating all online and offline communication (website, social media, email marketing, brochures, advertisements, PR, etc.).
Creating promotions and campaigns for room bookings, MICE, food & beverage, and events.
Analyzing marketing data (e.g. Google Analytics, OTAs, booking data) and making adjustments where needed.
Building relationships with local and international press, influencers, and strategic partners.
Collaborating closely with the commercial team and the Aimbridge Hospitality head office for optimal synergy.
Organizing photo shoots, video productions, and brand campaigns on site.
Profiel
What do you bring?
At least 5 years of experience in marketing, preferably with 2 years in a leadership role within hospitality, tourism, or lifestyle.
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Hotel Management, or a related field.
Knowledge of the Belgian market and an international mindset.
Familiarity with digital tools and channels: CMS systems, social media management (e.g. Meta Business Suite), email campaigns, SEO/SEA, Canva/Adobe, etc.
Strong writing skills and fluency in both Dutch and English; knowledge of French is a plus.
A creative, analytical, and results-oriented mindset.
A warm and approachable communication style that reflects Marriott’s hospitality values.
