We currently have a vacancy for a IS Tester (LMS) fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert remotely within EU. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.
Tasks:
- Review, analyze, and test software requirements, use cases, user stories, and designs according to test solutions best practices, with a specific focus on the Moodle platform, its customizations, and multilingual capabilities;
- Definition of test plans and test cases;
- Construction of test scenarios and scripts;
- Execution of tests across different browsers, devices, and platforms to ensure consistency and performance, particularly for web and mobile access to the Moodle application;
- Plan, prepare, and run load and performance tests for the Moodle platform and associated reporting infrastructure using tools like JMeter; analyze load test results, add defects when needed, and re-run tests after defect removal;
- Test coordination and reporting of test results;
- Support diagnosis and investigation of site incidents and implement workarounds to restore functionality, particularly during and after the Moodle migration;
- Investigate repetitive incidents for root cause identification and implement solutions to prevent such incidents from recurring;
- Assist in validating data integrity and reporting functionality, especially for the new reporting and data warehouse initiatives;
- Interaction with the business analysts, customer, users, project leaders and the developers.
Requirements
- University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with a minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in IT;
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in the manual testing of a LMS, with preference for Moodle;
- Minimum 3 years of work experience and knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools JIRA, Confluence and Test Rail;
- Minimum 2 years of specific expertise of automated testing and test implementation using frameworks like Selenium;
- Experience in the test data preparation, preferably with SQL databases;
- Mandatory experience of installations of at least 500.000 users and supporting more than 5 languages;
- Very good knowledge of Moodle or other Learning Management Systems (LMS) architecture, functionality, and common issues;
- 2 years of experience with performance and load testing tools, specifically JMeter;
- Very good knowledge of software testing methodologies (functional, regression, integration, performance, exploratory, user acceptance testing), technologies, tools and techniques;
- Good knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence);
- Excellent command of the English language.
