The team is part of the Material Engineering Division and focuses on new materials and analytical technologies for the next generation of automotive battery cells.
Your project
We are now offering a position to elaborate new active materials for positive electrode, especially considering high energy density cells. The focus will be more particularly on the development and preparation of high thickness electrodes using promising positive active material.
The activity may include:
- Benchmark state of the art technology in the specific field.
- Manufacture test pieces and test them using several electrochemical tests.
- Deliver well developed prototype samples by the end of the internship.
- Identify technology issues, suggest solutions and improvement.
- Develop models that can predict battery performance behaviour using physical parameters.
- Standardize process issuing work instruction sheets.
Your Profile:
- You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
- Master student in final year (preferably: Chemical / Electrochemical / Materials Engineering)
- Good knowledge in electrochemistry, material science, ink and electrolyte formulation
- Flexible team player
- Open personality able to work in an independent way, hands-on activities
- Basic computer skills (MS Office and database)
- Knowledge of battery modelling, including understanding of governing equations, domain, and use cases

It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.
