Innovation in healthcare
The Barco Labs Healthcare team is constantly looking for new innovative solutions that push forward the state-of-the-art and can improve healthcare models. This group takes care of the entire innovation cycle: ideation and MVP definition, market evaluation and business case creation, R&D and clinical work for creation of proof of concepts and solutions, market and clinical / regulatory validation of the solutions, business model and business plan creation, up to commercial introduction and early pilot sales.
The task at hand
We have recently developed a quick visual test to assess the accuracy of the colors of a display system, to ensure pathologists can confidently review images to establish a diagnostic without missing subtle features. Now, to have this tool used broadly, and proactively detect aging systems in a hospital, we would like to build around this tool a system of data recording and analysis of the results obtained periodically. This implies the development of a backend framework processing the logs and presenting the results on an administration portal accessible only for the hospital administrators.
Qualifications
- Web development:
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+, Angular, TypeScript)
- HTML5 and CSS3
- User identification (SSO)
- Experience with backend development technologies (AWS, databases, IaC)
- Interest in data processing and presenting:
- Data consolidation
- Dashboarding
- Interest in data privacy:
- Basic knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR)
- Understanding of data anonymization and encryption techniques
- Fluent spoken and written communication in English
- Problem-solving: Ability to identify and solve complex technical challenges
- Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills
- Curiosity: A passion for learning new technologies and exploring innovative solutions
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with a team of engineers and designers
