Your role & work environment
You are an energetic DevOps Engineer with a passion for IT and a positive can-do mindset. You are a team player working as a core member of a multidisciplinary and cross-functional squad. Close collaboration within and across the squads and with service providers is of utmost importance for you.
As a DevOps Engineer, you contribute to accomplishing your squad's mission within the Platform Engineering domain. You do this by working on automation integration initiatives for the Global IPC organisation.
Your key responsibilities
Engineering
Design, build and test of IT integrations of automations on the Backstage platform, ensuring quality of your delivery and liaising with stakeholders to make sure requirements are met.
You apply continuous delivery practices:
Manage all resources in version-controlled repositories (incl., code, scripts, configurations, artefacts, static resources)
Refactor and reuse existing code/modules/functionality
Write fully automated tests (e.g., unit-, functional-, non-functional- and integration testing)
Build, enhance and maintain tooling and scripts to automate repetitive or error prone tasks
Develop scripts to customize functionality as needed
You assist in building new functionalities on top of existing automations to expand their scope and value.
Contribute to the new way of working
You work together with colleagues, some with the same and others with different areas of expertise
You use your technical expertise and experience to contribute to all sprint events (planning, refinements, retrospectives, demos).

As an IaC DevOps Engineer you will also need:
Studies in an IT field
Experience with scripting/automation frameworks (Ansible, Python, …)
Understanding of Git
Familiarity with build and CD tools, specifically Azure DevOps
Knowledge of Agile software development (sprints, dailies, …) is appreciated
