Your role
You will join the dynamic tribe of People & Social Relations (HR) at Telenet group. Under the guidance of the Director Labour Law & Social Relations you'll be a key contact for labor law related questions and advice to HR-colleagues and business contacts.
What you’ll get busy with
- Providing insightful and pragmatic legal advice, touching on all aspects of individual and collective labor law a Belgian company of 3.500 employees can be dealing with.
- Drafting and reviewing diverse labour-related contracts, documents & policies
- Collaborate with HR and management to ensure our policies and practices align with current legislation and are corresponding to the actual business operations.
- Be the prime contact for Telenet’s external counsels to assist in resolving labor disputes.
- Monitor compliance with local and international labor laws and advise management accordingly.
- Manage multiple cases simultaneously, maintaining structured documentation and confidentiality.
What makes you the person we are looking for
Education, Experience & Interests
- A master’s degree in law with with specialization or relevant certification in labour law is preferred.
- 5 years of relevant professional experience, be it in a law firm or working as an in-house legal counsel.
- An affinity for working in a dynamic media & technology business environment
Skills & Mindset
- Fluent in Dutch, English and French.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
- The ability to translate legal jargon into pragmatic and business-oriented advice.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
- Adaptive and resilient; ready to navigate in a large and dynamic, always changing environment.
- Not afraid about thinking outside the legal box.
