We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Head of Accounting to oversee both the strategic financial direction and the operational execution of our accounting activities. You will work closely with the Account Assistant and our management team to provide financial insights, steer decision-making, and safeguard the financial health of our growing organisation.
Your role: A dual focus
- Prepare monthly and annual financial reports
- Develop and monitor cash flow forecasts
- Deliver financial analysis and guidance to the CEO and management
- Flag financial risks in a timely manner and suggest corrective actions
- Support year-end closings and audit processes
- Continuously optimise internal processes and financial control systems
- Manage accounts payable across multiple entities
- Validate, record and follow up on incoming purchase invoices and credit notes
- Post cash and bank transactions
- Execute daily payment processing
- Send payment reminders for outstanding invoices
- Proactively follow up on customer payments to avoid delays
- Handle VAT declarations and intra-community listings
- Prepare annual financial statements for various group entities
Your profile:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Solid knowledge of accounts payable and cash management
- Familiarity with Business Central is a strong asset
- Sound understanding of VAT and taxation
- Ability to translate financial data into meaningful insights for both financial and non-financial stakeholders
- Proficiency in Excel
- Excellent communication skills and persuasive power
- Strong administrative abilities and confident in client-facing communication
- Proactive, determined and thrives in a role with variety
- Fluent in Dutch and English
- Discretion and confidentiality are second nature
