Our Actuarial Services team is involved in various different service offerings towards the Belgian and international insurance market and active on a wide range of topics such as BEGAAP, Solvency II, IFRS 17, ESG, actuarial audit support to insurance companies, insurance risk management consulting and employee benefits.

Your impact

As a (Senior) Manager Actuary specializing in life insurance, you will:

• Provide expert advice to insurance clients on topics such as reserving, risk management, pricing, modelling or process optimization.

• Actively contribute to business development activities by identifying and creating opportunities with new and existing clients.

• Be the main contact in actuarial team for the audit of life insurance companies, gaining a deep understanding of the Belgian market dynamics.

• Collaborate with colleagues across various PwC territories to co-develop market strategies and technical insights.

• Mentor and guide junior team members, supporting their professional growth and development.

• Play a key role in expanding the department's services and fostering its growth.

About You

• You possess a master's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or a related quantitative field and demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

• You bring extensive experience in consulting for insurance companies and can effectively address complex challenges in various domains (risk management, pricing, modelling, etc).

• You have comprehensive knowledge of BEGAAP, Solvency II, and IFRS 17 standards.

• You can interpret economic and market trends to determine their impact on clients.

• You have experience in coaching and developing junior team members.

• You possess a strong interest in AI and emerging technologies.

• You excel in communicating complex technical concepts to different audiences, ensuring clarity for non-specialists.

• You are fluent in English and either French or Dutch.
