We are seeking an exceptional actuary specializing in pension and employee benefits with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience to enhance our Governance, Risk, and Compliance FS Team, consisting of approximately 65 specialists, including 10 actuaries.

Your impact

• Work with a diverse range of clients across various industries, participating in projects related to pension and employee benefits, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the Belgian market.

• Conduct actuarial valuations and international coordination of employee benefits under IFRS and US GAAP for consulting clients.

• Assist the audit department by providing technical insights on IFRS and US GAAP standards for employee benefits, and review technical provisions of IORPs based on Belgian legislation.

• Collaborate closely with other departments by offering advice on employee benefits to Tax and Legal Services, Deals, or Accounting Advisory Services (e.g. GAAP conversion).

• Coach and plan for less experienced colleagues, aiding their professional development.

• Help develop our department and expand our service offerings.

About you

• A qualified actuary with at least 5-8 years of experience, with previous coaching experience.

• Familiar with consulting topics such as IAS19, ASC 715, Belgian Control law for IORP.

• A team player with strong technical expertise and a client-oriented approach.

• Possessing a critical mindset and able to communicate complex technical matters in a clear, precise, and practical manner to non-specialists.

• Fluent in English and French and/or Dutch.

• Commercial skills are an advantage.
