For our Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Division, we are recruiting an EMEA CRM Controller to be based in our EMEA HQ in Zaventem, Belgium.
About the opportunity
The EMEA CRM Controller is the closest partner of the EMEA CRM DVP and the EMEA CRM Finance Director to shape the financial journey of the region, having full responsibility over the consolidation of the P/L of EMEA (processes and results).
Role Overview
- Within this role, you will act as the key business partner to the above leaders as well as the regional commercial and financial leadership, while constantly ensuring financial compliance with all relevant internal and external standards.
- You will assume leadership for all operational related processes at EMEA level, including a strong relation, covering communication and alignment, with the Global Director FP&A, and as such freeing up the EMEA CRM Finance Director as much as possible for strategic and all other types of interactions with Global and EMEA functions.
- As another key part of this role, the EMEA CRM Controller will have the lead for overall process simplification and harmonization across EMEA, enabling strong standards where needed, while ensuring that specific local initiatives and reports are supported and potentially scaled. This will require extensive partnering and coordination with all Regions across EMEA, as well as with internal and external IT functions as applicable, targeted to the effective implementation and continuous improvement of scalable processes and (reporting) systems.
- As a member of the EMEA Commercial leadership team, the Regional Controller has full transparency into all aspects of the P/L and will be involved into all drivers of value creation (such as bonus plans, recruitments, investments, projects, payroll, etc.).
- Additionally, this role will own Balance Sheet forecasting and reporting, Gross Margin Improvement and Pricing for CRM EMEA. You will closely collaborate with all functions (such as HR, Marketing, Global) to set up and drive respective programs and activities.
Your Profile:
- Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years’ experience in a similar role in an international environment
- Prior experience in product-related industries. MedTech industry experience is a plus.
- Proven financial influencing skills at senior management level.
- Ability to drive change amongst peers and senior commercial leaders.
- Strong Business Partnering skills.
- Demonstrated skills as a people manager, building and developing organizations for success.
- Proven mastery on large data handling and tool-driven data analysis.
- Accounting and compliance experience
- Change management
- Fluency in English (additional language is a plus)
