Job description:
Help design and implement a new interface that replaces a legacy integration between critical operational systems. The architecture will be built using Kafka and Kafka Streams as part of an enterprise-wide modernization effort. The architect will work in a multidisciplinary team alongside business analysts, designers, and developers, and will serve as a liaison to central architecture and integration teams. This role is crucial in delivering a solution that meets high standards for maintainability, scalability, and operational versatility.
Required Skills/Experience:
- At least 3 years track-record as a Data Architect in complex environments
- Kafka Streams with hands-on implementation experience
- Event-Driven Architecture design and development
Cloud & DevOps:
- Azure Kubernetes Services
- Azure Cloud
- Docker
- Git and GitOps practices
- Azure DevOps
- Data Modeling: Translating conceptual models into logical data models
Certifications:
- Azure Fundamentals
- Confluent Certified Developer for Apache Kafka
Language: Fluent Dutch (CEFR level C2)
Added Advantage:
- Experience in Event Storm workshop facilitation
- Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles
- Willingness to work on-site at least 1 day per week; flexibility to adjust based on team needs
- Availability for occasional out-of-hours work during critical phases such as releases
