We are looking for a Cloud Solution Architect – Data to help customers build secure, scalable, and AI-ready data solutions on Microsoft Azure. In this customer-facing role, you will lead technical engagements across architecture design, proof-of-concepts, and production deployments, ensuring performance, resiliency, and security across mission-critical workloads.
As part of the Cloud + AI Data team, you’ll leverage repeatable IP and execution engines to drive delivery excellence, accelerate adoption, and ensure successful deployment of services like Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Cosmos DB, and Purview. You’ll collaborate with engineering teams, share best practices, and stay current with evolving trends to help customers unlock the full value of their data and AI investments.
Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement
- Lead deep technical discussions with customer architects, engineers, and decision-makers to design and deploy Azure Data solutions.
- Understand customer business priorities and translate them into scalable data architectures.
- Technical Delivery
- Own the end-to-end technical delivery of Azure Data workloads, including architecture, build, and operations.
- Guide customers through proof-of-concepts, pilots, and production deployments using services like Synapse, Fabric, and Cosmos DB.
- Solution Optimization
- Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, security, and cost-efficiency standards.
- Apply frameworks like CAF and WAF to ensure enterprise-grade architecture.
- Collaboration & IP Development
- Partner with CSAMs, Customer Engineers, and Product Groups to drive unified delivery and unblock technical challenges.
- Contribute to reusable IP and delivery frameworks that scale across engagements.
- Skilling & Enablement
- Stay current with certifications and technical intensity programs in Azure Data & AI.
- Mentor junior architects and contribute to community calls and skilling initiatives
Qualifications
- Experience in cloud technologies, data architecture, or IT consulting.
- Proven success in customer-facing roles leading technical engagements and deployments.
- Expertise in Azure Data services (Databricks, Purview, Fabric, Cosmos DB, Postgres, Azure SQL), data governance, and AI integration
Preferred:
- Certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Experience with hybrid data architectures, data resiliency, and unified delivery models.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to influence across technical and business domains.
- Familiarity with frameworks like MCEM, CAF
